GAVI has approved a cumulative US$ 3.7 billion in support
to 75 countries

The GAVI Alliance has been providing support to the world's poorest countries since 2000 so that they can increase their access to immunisation.

GAVI has approved a total of US$ 3.7 billion to countries for the period 2000 to 2015 (as at August 2008).

When an application from a country is approved for fundiing, the country is given an estimate of the total amount of multi-year GAVI financial support. For each year of support this estimate is recalculated according to revised immunisation targets, outlined in the country’s annual progress reports.
